Rates, Policies, Terms & Conditions, and Access

The following payment policies have been implemented:

• More than 120 days prior to travel: 20% of the total booking value is payable to Cousine Island and is non-refundable to confirm a booking.

• Between 120 and 90 days prior to travel: 50% of the total booking value is payable to Cousine Island and non-refundable to confirm a booking.

• Within 90 days and less to travel: 100% of the total booking value is payable to Cousine Island and non-refundable to confirm a booking.

• No show: 100% of the total booking value will be charged & payable to Cousine Island and non-refundable.

• In the event that clients would need to reschedule their booking, they may do so within 12 months of their original booking and 90 days prior to original travel.

• Applies to all online bookings.

Guests are kindly advised to purchase a travel insurance policy covering refunds of cancellation deposit and payments.

The following Cancellation fees are levied when guests cancel confirmed reservations:

• All non-refundable payments will be forfeited upon cancellation.

• In the event that clients would need to reschedule their booking, they may do so within

• 12 months of their original booking and 90 days prior to original travel.

• Applies to all online bookings.

The Euro will be used as the currency to determine the rates for Cousine Island. All major foreign currencies outlined by Cousine Island will be accepted for payment, which will be converted to the Euro on presentation of the final invoice for payment and exchanged at an accepted international exchange rate determined by major financial institutions at the time of presentation of the final invoice.

MAJOR FOREIGN CURRENCIES ACCEPTED: EUR | GBP | USD | CAD | AUD | CHF | JPY

EXPENSE THAT OCCUR ON COUSINE ISLAND CAN BE SETTLED AS FOLLOWS:

• Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or cash in any major foreign currency accepted by Cousine Island.

• All extras to be settled in the office at least 90 minutes prior to departure.

• All credit card transactions will incur a 3%-5% surcharge applied to the TAX inclusive total on the invoice at the point of payment upon departure.

Where a deposit has been paid and the reservation is subsequently cancelled by Cousine Island due to a failure to pay the balance outstanding, the deposit paid will be forfeited to Cousine Island.

In the event that a reservation is cancelled by the client for any reason, such cancellation must be made in writing and will only be effective upon written acknowledgement by Cousine Island’s receipt of the notification of cancellation. In such instance, the agent is liable for the cancellation charges incurred.

Failure to arrive or any cancellations made after the departure date, Cousine Island will be entitled to treat the reservation as cancelled without giving notice and 100% of the tour price as a cancellation fee will apply (including repatriation and any administrative fees incurred by Cousine Island as a result of such cancellation, including but not limited to cancellations due to ill health or injury). In such an instance Cousine Island will apply its discretion should extenuating circumstances exist.

All extra services booked and including transfers, entertainment, purchases of goods on behalf of clients will incur their full rate or cancellation deposit.

Should extra services be cancelled and the accommodation booking maintained, all extra services booked will incur their full rate or cancellation deposit.

EXCURSIONS BOOKED THROUGH COUSINE ISLAND

All excursions and activities booked through Cousine Island are non-commissionable.

TOURISM LEVY

Kindly be informed that the Government of Seychelles has implemented a Tourism Environment Sustainability Levy, applicable as of 01st August 2023 payable directly to the hotel as follows; - SCR 25.00 Small Hotels//SCR75.00 Medium-sized hotels//SCR100.00 Large Hotels, per person per night. Children under 12 years will be exempt from the levy.

At check-in, all guests are required to provide Cousine Island with electronic payment information. An inspection will take place on check-out date, and all damages will be recorded for the benefit and sight of the guests in question.

Damages to Cousine Island property will be payable, and Cousine Island is authorised to charge the amount owing to the electronic payment method provided for by the guest in question, prior to guests departure from Cousine Island to satisfy the costs of damage.

Cousine Island will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the performance or non-performance of this agreement.
